Have you heard about the massive wedding giveaway going on over at Inspired Celebration? If you are getting married this year or know someone who is then its well worth you entering. Several Folksy designers (me included) have gotten together and are offering 20 different goodies worth over £500 for you to use on your upcoming big day.

These are the earrings that I am offering as part of the giveaway. They are made from sterling silver and 6mm freshwater pearls. The silver drops have been hammered to texture them and highly polished. The total drop of the earrings is 7.5cm (3 inches).

Pop over to enter and to find out more details about the other items on offer and the T&Cs for the competition- closing date is Valentines Day.

Oh and if you really want a pair of these but dont win them in the giveaway then get in touch and I can make you a pair!

Wedding memento commission

A bit ago I was contacted by a lovely lady through Folksy, who had seen my resin jewellery there. She asked me if I could put bits of her wedding dress into resin as a memento and so she could "wear her dress again".

After a couple of messages back and forth we arranged for me to make her two pendants and two brooches containing pieces of her silk dress, pearly beads and snippets of her veil with sterling silver findings. She also wanted me to encase a tiny jay feather in a pendant for her husband.

Here's what I made for her. I'm happy to report that she liked them!!

I keep meaning to make my own bridal mementos! Really should get on and do that. I may offer it as a custom listing. What do you think?
